Prevent Referees from modifying ANY match report. Lock them in to only modify assigned match reports.

If referees are updating the match reports for your site, you can now limit them to only update games they've been assigned. The login process for Referees is the same, however if the new option is set to LIMIT them (default setting is no limit) then they will receive a list of assigned matches rather than the game code search process. The Match Report will automatically default to let referees modify any match report.

To update the settings follow these steps.
  1. From the admin home screen click on Elements
  2. Choose Match Reports/Stats Admin
  3. Click the green box, Edit Match Report Season Settings
  4. Under Referees change the second setting. The second setting reads, Allow REFEREES to update ANY Match REPORT? If you don't want them to edit ANY match report, then set it to No.
  5. Save your changes.

Clone teams within divisions from one season to another within the same league

You no longer have to manually add teams back into the system from one season to another. Now, you can clone a division from one season into another. For example, a league can clone teams within a division from Spring to Fall or from Spring/Fall of one year to the next year. All team contact information will clone over, too.
  1. From admin home click on Elements
  2. Choose Season Structure Wizard
  3. Click on the season name (ex. Fall 2008)
  4. Click on a division name
  5. On the right side, click on Clone Data from another Division. (You can only clone from divisions within the same league. If your Fall and Spring leagues are split up into separate leagues, then you will not be able to clone Spring into Fall.)
  6. Select the division from the previous season you want to clone.
  7. You can either clone all of the teams by checking the box Include All Teams. Or you can un-check the box Include All Teams and only check-off the teams you want to clone. If you want to include the players and/or the contacts make sure the radio dial is selected to Yes.
  8. Click Clone.
If you clone teams over, you can still add new teams to the division.

Webmail - Group Lists

Group Lists are email addresses that deliver to a set of previously selected mailboxes. They also have sender restrictions, so only mailboxes that you explicitly allow may send to the group list address.

To illustrate the function, here's an example: if you want to email only referees whose email addresses you have on file you could create a grouplist called referees@yourclub.com. Only people on this list receive copies of the messages sent to that address, and only those on the accepted senders list may send to it. By doing that, you won't receive any spam, and there's a [Referees] tag at the beginning of each message sent to referees@yourclub.com, so it's easy to see the deliveries for these lists.

To take advantage of group lists, you must login as a webmail administrator. Typically, only one person from each club has this type of access. Once logged in, Group Lists, should be an option on the toolbar on the left side of the screen. Create a group list name, subject, and add the email addresses. You can have up to 50 external email addresses. An external email address is one that does not use your domain. For example, email addresses at AOL, Yahoo, Gmail, Hotmail, etc. are all considered external email addresses. Make sure you save your changes when you are done. Finally, you can create an email directed to your Group List.

Age Groups now gender based

As the title says age groups are now gender based. Although age groups are mostly just for display and don't interact in any way with building teams, clubs do have the ability to close registration or waitlist players once a max number of players is reached for a particular age group.

Take a bite out of...SPAM!

The volume, speed and sophistication of today’s attack are unprecedented. And this is expected to continue—as spammers face more restrictive spam filters, they are developing never-before-seen methods to try to bypass them.

With that being said, while the email service provides of the world continue to do their part in trying to remain a step ahead of the game, there are ways that users can aide in this fight.

Using Demosphere's Webmail product, there are two specific ways to do this. The first is buy reporting spam while using the browser version of Demosphere Webmail at webmail.demosphere.com. While viewing the spam message that is sitting in your Inbox, simply click the Report Spam button. You are promtped with a dialogue window asking if you want to report the select email as spam. Click OK and you're finished. Our engineers then use this information an examples to fight the battle and to better understand the types of messages that are slipping through the cracks.

If you use an email application like Outlook the approach is a little different. Follow the following steps:

Here are the steps you will need to follow in Outlook:
  1. Select the spam message from the email list
  2. Click on Actions from the top menu bar
  3. Select Forward as Attachment from the Actions drop down menu
  4. A new message window will pop up and the spam email you selected will be attached to the message
  5. Type in spam@demosphere.com in the TO: field
  6. Click Send

This will accomplish the same in taking a bite out of....SPAM. For more information, please write to support@demosphere.com.
