For the second straight year, Richmond hosted the annual Virginia Youth Soccer Association Convention. Over 500 administrators, parents, and coaches attended the two-day event that featured demonstrations, best practices seminars, and an awards presentation.
Vice President of Marketing Sean Rose presented a session focused on creating good online first impressions which provided easy-to-implement techniques for clubs and leagues.
The Demosphere Team also met with numerous customers from within the state as well as VYSA Administrator Julie Caramanica (pictured on right in blue). Demosphere has partnered with VYSA for over 10 years and currently hosts VYSA.com.
Demosphere looks forward to continuing to play a leading role in the youth soccer scene here in our home state of Virginia!
The Demosphere team recently returned from the 2013 NSCAA Convention in Indianapolis. The event is the largest annual soccer gathering in the United States and attracts over 7,500 administrators, coaches, players, and more each year.
During our time in Indianapolis, Demosphere was proud to exhibit in the Exhibit Hall and also sponsor a cell phone charging station for attendees.
Our team had a chance to meet with many customers, partners, and future customers, including the Brooklyn Italians (pictured at right) who shared some potential new logo designs. We also had a chance to meet with US Club Soccer, Elite Clubs National League, U.S. Soccer, and many, many more!
We’re already looking forward to next year’s event in Philadelphia where attendance promises to be high – perhaps even record setting.
The 2013 US Lacrosse National Convention took place over the weekend in Philadelphia and it’s clear that lacrosse continues to grow as a sport. Over 6,500 coaches, administrators, referees, and players attended the Convention this year and more are already expected for next year.
The Demosphere team (Account Representative Mike Rosenow pictured at right) met with many current customers as well as interested organizations from all parts of the country – especially the Northeast where Lacrosse is exceedingly popular.
A common theme amongst organizations this year was exponential growth. Groups that have only been around one or two years expect to double their annual registrants, leading to more resource and volunteer needs throughout the year. Many of these groups realize a need to become more efficient online and Demosphere’s comprehensive product suite helps with that goal.
As Lacrosse continues to grow nationwide, Demosphere looks forward to teaming up with more organizations this year!
In Louisville, a few thousand volleyball coaches attended the 2012 AVCA Annual Coaching Convention. Demosphere Account Representatives Mike Rosenow and Dannelle Lewandowski met with coaches from around the country about how to improve their online registration process and learn more on what programs they offer. They also were able to learn more about the sport of volleyball – there were live demonstration lessons on the show floor – including a full sand court!
In Clearwater Beach, FL, executives and coaches from over 100 USL teams came together for league meetings and to share best practices from their markets. Demosphere currently provides league website, registration, and scheduling solutions to USL as well as services to more than 30 teams, so it was a great opportunity to begin preparations for the 2013 season. The event also included the annual Awards Dinner which inducted various members into the Hall of Fame and honored a collection of well-performing franchises.
In January, Demosphere will attend a collection of workshops in Philadelphia, Indianapolis, and more. Check out our On The Go page for more information – we look forward to seeing you!
Last week, the Demosphere team traveled to Kansas City for the annual NSCAA Convention. The convention is billed as the largest annual gathering of soccer coaches and traditionally attracts between 5,000 and 10,000 coaches for workshops, exhibits, awards events, and more.
As part of the events, Demosphere sponsored the NSCAA New Media Mixer for the second straight year. The event brought together approximately 50 soccer bloggers, thought leaders, and social media aficionados for a discussion just before the WPS Draft.
Below, please find some great photos from our time in Kansas City! Stay tuned for more travel updates in the coming weeks.
