Demosphere Makes New Connections at the WYSA AGM

The WYSA AGM

The Demosphere Team had a productive trip attending the Wisconsin Youth Soccer Association (WYSA) AGM last week. The weekend was full of opportunities to connect with current partners and form relationships with new ones. In addition to the Association’s full meeting agenda, the Demosphere team conducted training sessions for WYSA Member Clubs. Topics included Demosphere solutions for setting up programs and seasons, collecting online registration data, managing payments, building custom forms and syncing their data to the State Association.

Demosphere Training Sessions

Additionally, a separate league session was held to dive into Demosphere’s robust scheduling tools for managing fields and permits, game and blackout dates, setting up division structures, generating game schedules and managing scores/stats and standings. Madison Area Youth Soccer Association (MAYSA), a new partner utilizing Demosphere’s league solutions, was in attendance. MAYSA shared their excitement and feedback over their use of the Demosphere platform to build their Spring schedules. They also shared positive remarks with the group about the service they’ve received from our team thus far.

Demosphere’s Dannelle Lewandowski ran into her former USSF License B Instructor, Jim Launder. Jim is the WYSA Director of Coaching – small world!

Hall of Fame BanquetWYSA

Especially relevant to the weekend’s activities was the Annual Hall of Fame banquet. Several members of the WYSA family were recognized for their contributions to soccer in the state of Wisconsin. Our team was honored to have been part of the recognition to honor the recipients and we look forward to many more years of success from WYSA.

Demosphere Attends United Soccer Coaches Convention in Philly!

The Demosphere Team had another phenomenal experience attending the annual United Soccer Coaches Convention. This year’s event was held at the Philadelphia Convention Center. The convention has been billed “the World’s Largest Annual Gathering of Soccer Coaches and Administrators”. This year over ten thousand participants attended, representing everything from grassroots organizations to Professional leaders in the soccer community.

Education:

The event offers a plethora of educational opportunities for coaches like classroom sessions and live field demonstrations. Additionally, there are plenty of networking opportunities, awards ceremonies, and small group focus sessions.  Furthermore, the annual draft for both the NWSL and MLS take place during the week of the convention.

U.S. Soccer Presidential Candidates

Most noteworthy this year was the impending U.S. Soccer Presidential election next month. Seven of the eight candidates held presentation sessions to share their ideas with attendees for taking soccer to the next level. Votes will be cast on Feb.10, 2017. (Read more about the candidates and the election process).

Exhibit Hall

Throughout the week, attendees staggered through the massive exhibit hall, packed with more than 300 exhibitors. Organizations promoted products and services ranging from sporting goods and merchandise, player development programs and sports tours, consulting services, health and safety and a wide range of sports technology solutions. The Demosphere team worked hard to get setup in time for the grand opening on Thursday evening.

The Demosphere Booth

Twelve members of the Demosphere team attended the convention this year. Our team enjoyed making connections with old friends and new, elevating existing member solutions and sharing the Demosphere story with potential new partners. Like many of our customers, St. Louis Scott Gallagher (SLSG) is feeling both a sense of excitement as well as the healthy bit of stress that goes along with preparing for the opening of a new season. The 2017-18 season is upon us and Demosphere is firing on all cylinders to help our clients kick it into high gear!

Senior Account Manager, Camille Cheatwood, recently visited the SLSG team and their amazing facility for a working session to review registration set-up of their club and team invitation programs for both their Missouri and Illinois locations. Managing an organization this large takes a great team, a lot of coordination, and a top-notch system to handle it all – the partnership between SLSG and Demosphere really hits the mark!

The SLSG team previously launched Demosphere’s integrated online registration system for some of their camps and ancillary programs. This recent working session focused on some of the more in-depth components of the system for their larger programs including:

Cheatwood and the SLSG group then discussed solutions for team formation using auto-roster tools via the team invitation process, as well as drag and drop team building with Demosphere’s powerful registration management solution.

Demosphere is really excited about our partnership with St. Louis Scott Gallagher and the opportunity to help them #GetIntegrated to streamline their administrative workflow so they can focus on what they do best: create and grow programs that develop our youth through sport.

Demosphere’s Senior Account Manager, Camille Cheatwood, recently made the trip to beautiful Utah to meet with the Copper Mountain Soccer (CMS) team to discuss an expansion of our partnership. Our enhanced solutions will include creation of a new youth soccer website to help in their re-branding efforts to their newly re-envisioned Copper Mountain Rec Soccer name.

Demosphere Volunteers At Local SoccerFest 2016

There’s no better feeling for a sports lover than spending a beautiful Saturday afternoon out at the field surrounded by young athletes that have an intense passion and energy for the game they love to play.

Over the weekend, Demosphere’s team of Account Representatives spent the day volunteering at Soccerfest, a two-day celebration of soccer, camaraderie, and fun.

SoccerFest, a local Demosphere client out of Movern Park, serves as the biggest, and most dynamic small-sided (4v4) youth and adult soccer tournament festival in the Mid-Atlantic region.

Roughly 130 teams traveled to the D.C. area on Saturday to compete on 20 different fields. The day’s event was estimated to have drawn in approximately 3,000 players, parents, coaches and spectators.

Director of Sales, Andy Megas, along with Reps Madeline Horner, Todd Baybutt, Connor Massei, and Hassam Langah assisted with morning registrations, check-in, and field marshaling/score reporting.

Thank you, SoccerFest, for letting Demosphere get involved in such a great event!
